DESCRIPTION:Black Tulip Flowers is proud to announce that\, on July 6\, 2023\, we had the distinct honour of hosting the Honorable Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia\, Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof\, at the Black Tulip Flowers regional corporate head office located in Utee Farms Kiambu\, Kenya\, marking a momentous occasion for us.  \nThe honorable Deputy Prime Minister and his team of dignitaries were received with a warm welcome at our corporate office by Mr. M Ehiya\, Chairman of Black Tulip Flowers\, and Mr. Mohan Choudhery\, CEO of Black Tulip Group Farms Kenya. It was a great honour and privilege for Black Tulip Flowers to have the opportunity to showcase our business and flower farming capabilities in Kenya\, and discuss about our vision with the esteemed guests. \n \n\n  \nAfter a brief introductory session\, the Honorable Deputy Prime Minister and his team of dignitaries proceeded to see our on-site farms and flower sorting bay. They visited our facilities understanding how flowers are grown in green houses via ecofriendly agricultural practices\, harvested at the right time\, and then sorted by skilled workers to be shipped to various parts of the world.  \n \n\n  \nIn Kenya and Ethiopia\, Black Tulip Flower operates 14 farms\, spread over 1800 acres\, with a work force of over 8000 people. Black Tulip flowers currently holds the strength of producing over 2900 tones of fresh cut flowers annually. The special climatic conditions in high altitude regions of Kenya make it favorable for grow high quality flowers\, like premium roses\, hydrangea and chrysanthemum\, to name a few.  \n \n\n  \nAll in all\, this was a momentous occasion for our team with lots of ideas shared\, opportunities discussed and inspirations received. It is hoped that this visit from the honorable Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia would deepen the ties and encourage new avenues to enhance horticulture trade between Malaysia and Kenya\, creating new opportunities for businesses in both the countries. \nThe visit from the Honorable Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia marks a significant milestone for Black Tulip Flowers in our journey towards stronger trade and business relations. It showcased the success of Black Tulip Flowers’ farming operations\, highlighting their commitment to excellence\, sustainability\, and community development. The exchange of ideas and discussions during the visit may serve as a catalyst for further collaboration\, promising a brighter future for the horticulture sector in both countries.
